Hair Color Correction
Hair Dye Stripping is universally known as Hair color correction. This process ideally means to remove the unwanted color in the hair. Some of the colors like black, red, purple, red, blue and dark brown cause problems in getting back the original color of the hair. Hair color correction is like bleaching. The bleaching increases the sulfite levels in the hair and the hair becomes spongier. After the process is done, the hair becomes very ashy blonde color.
Hair color correction is requested by the clients when the hair has not yielded the required color. The clients should get the color correction done from reputed salon or experts. The experts take care of the color correction case to case basis. One of the reasons the color does not turn out properly is either the color was let on the hair for too short period or for a longer time or the chances that the color was not mixed properly.
Correction of Too Light color
If the client has got the hair colored and feels that it is too light than what was wanted, then the color can be changed. The experts generally add a darker tone of the color for ensuring that the client get the desired color. In case a permanent dye is used to color the hair the expert’s will use mild semi permanent or temporary color for some time and then use a darker dye.
Correction of Dull Color
In certain cases where the clients find the color of the hair very dull, the experts suggest to use spray on shine and silicone products. These products give instant luster to the hair. If the hair is very dull then use a colorless gloss and the highlights and lowlights will give the hair more lively appearance.
Correction of Too dark hair
In case the client has used permanent hair color the experts will use a color remover to lighten the tone of the hair. In order that the hair is colored too dark choose a color to shade lighter than the one you want to shade.
Correction of Brassy color
In the case where the client has lightened only a couple of shades a blue toned shampoo is available which is specially designed for the toning of the hair.
It is always desirable that the Hair Color Correction is done by an expert. We should not try to correct it on our own at home.
